周産期母子医療センター退院時のチャイルドシート装着に関する実態調査

　乳幼児に対するチャイルドシートの装着義務が法制化されてから6年が経過しているが，適正な使用の徹底には至っていない。我々は周産期センターという特殊な環境を退院する乳児34名の家族30組に対しアンケートと装着状態の実地検分を行った。その結果，必要性の認識や取り付けへの自信は高いものの，94％に何らかの装着エラーを検出した。医療者は装着の専門家にならずとも，チャイルドシートに関する正しい情報を保護者に提供し，必要に応じて早い段階からの専門家による包括的介入を勧めることが望ましい。それにより適切な型のチャイルドシートの入手や装着をサポートし，乗車中の子供の安全を守ることが可能になると思われた。

　To evaluate the appropriateness of child safety seat use, 30 families of 34 babies were inspected with the questionnaire and safety check lists before being discharged from mother and child medical center between April 1, 2002, and December 31, 2004. Their gestational weeks were 24 〜37, birth weights were 672 〜3,800g. Eighteen cases of very low birth weight infants were included. No baby required special health care such as ho me oxygen therapy. Although most of parents understood the necessity of the child safety seat, 94％ of them showed some errors in installation. They must be educated how to use child safety seats correctly.
